Dental Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is embedded into the jaw in order to secure a replacement tooth or bridge. They are often used for patients who have lost a single tooth or a number of teeth as a result of disease or an accident. A thin metal rod, usually made from titanium, is used in place of the tooth root, acting as a support for the tooth.

The implant itself is a small post made from bio compatible metals or ceramics. It is inserted into the jaw under local an anaesthetic. Not only are implants a durable and long-lasting, modern solution to tooth loss, they also improve long-term oral health and are almost identical to natural teeth in both appearance and function.

Potential dental implant patients are eligible for a FREE consultation in order to assess their suitability for the procedure.
